Doctorate - 1997-2000
An investigation into the relationship between microglia, astrocytes and neuronal sub-populations in HIV affected cases
The Institute of Psychiatry, De Crespigny Park, London, SE5 8AF (Kings College, London)
The work for my PhD included investigation of the density and spatial pattern arrangement of frontal lobe cells in the CNS of people who had died with HIV/AIDS; the effects of gp120 on dendritic arbor of fetal neuronal cultures, and an optimization study investigating combinations of stains and counterstains for use with spatial pattern analysis.
MSc Neuroscience - 1995-1996
The Institute of Psychiatry, De Crespigny Park, London, SE5 8AF (Kings College, London)
This Masters degree was split into teaching and research components. The topics covered included neurochemistry, neurodevelopment, neuropathology, Neurooncology, psychiatry and behavioral psychology. My research project investigated the density and bivariate correlations of neurons and microglia in the frontal cortex of cases with HIV and AIDS.
